July 10, 1962The 1962 All Star Game was played today at Washington's D. C. Stadium. The AL really laid it on the NL winning the contest 7-0. New York Yankee rookie Tom Tresh (pictured) homered in the 1st inning and hit a 3-run blast in the 2nd. Both homeruns were off NL starter Sandy Koufax and led to his early exit in the ballgame. The Yankees Elston Howard and Los Angeles Angel Leon Wagner also homered for the AL. The NL could get nothing going and were held to a total of 3 hits by the AL pitchers.
