1962 NL Games: SF @ Phil.

May 30, 1962

Philadelphia's Roy Sievers had a fine day at the plate in a doubleheader played today against the San Francisco Giants. In the 1st game Sievers hit 3 homeruns, driving in 5 runs in the Phillies 11-4 victory. In the 2nd game he drove in another 5 runs with having just 1 hit, a homerun. 2 of the runs came on the homer and the other 3 runs scored on sacrifice flies. The Phillies lost the 2nd game 8-6 but it wasn't through any fault of Sievers' efforts.
All in all, Sievers hit 4 homeruns and had 10 RBI in the doubleheader today. A day he will be sure to remember for a long time.
