Don Mossi went the distance for Detroit for his 4th Win of the season. Even he couldn't escape the longball, allowing 3 runs and 2 homeruns.

Detroit took the lead for keeps in the 2nd inning as they scored 3 runs on 3
base hits. The highlight belonged to Chico Fernandez who elicited a roar
from the hometown fans when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home
run. Detroit totaled 14 hits on the afternoon.
The win went to Mossi(4-3) who allowed 3 runs in the game. Jack Fisher(1-3)
was given the loss. He allowed 4 homeruns in 2 and 1/3 innings of work.
