1962 AL Game: Chi. @ Det.

 August 30, 1962

    Al Kaline smacked 2 homeruns and Norm Cash reached a couple season milestones as the Detroit Tigers came from behind to defeat the Chicago White Sox 11-6. Kaline's 3-run homer in the 7th inning gave Detroit its first lead in the game and his 2nd homer, a 2-run shot in the 8th, cemented the 11-6 victory. Norm Cash hit a 2-run homer in the 8th to retake the lead for the Tigers 8-6 before Kaline capped the 5 run outburst with his homerun. For Cash it was his 40th Homerun and the 2 RBI gave him 100 for the season.

Al Kaline smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Detroit Tigers beat the
Chicago White Sox by a score of 11 to 6.
 
It was a good day for Detroit thanks to Kaline.  He launched a three-run homer
in the 7th inning and smashed a two-run homer in the 8th inning.  Detroit had
13 hits for the night.  
 
The win was credited to Ron Nischwitz(6-2) who went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing
no runs. Turk Lown(3-4) suffered the loss in relief.  He allowed 5 runs and 4
hits in 1 inning.
