TEAM RISP- Twins: 6 for 15 Senators: 9 for 14

First baseman Harry Bright had 4 hits and 2 RBI at D.C. Stadium as the
Washington Senators pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the Minnesota
Twins by the count of 12 to 11.

Washington won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3
base hits. Jim Piersall led off and started the rally when he drew a walk.
Piersall got a good lead and stole second. Jim King then stroked a one-base
hit plating a run. Bob Johnson dug into the batters box next, but he struck
out. Bob Schmidt stepped into the box and doubled. Ken Hamlin contributed
to the rally and slapped a base-hit giving Washington the win much to the
delight of the home town crowd. A wild affair, this game saw the lead change
6 times.

Marty Kutyna(4-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing
no runs. Ray Moore(0-1) was given the loss in relief. He gave up 5 runs and
7 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.

'What a win!', Kutyna said. 'These are the kind of games that stand out in
your mind at the end of a season.'
