1962 NL Game: St. Louis @ Chi.

June 26, 1962

Ernie Broglio pitched a beauty of a game today as the St. Louis Cardinals crushed the Chicago Cubs 11-0. Broglio threw 1-hitter with no walks and 6 strikeouts while dominating the Chicago batters. The only blemish on his pitching line was a single by Ernie Banks leading off the 2nd inning. It was the 4th 1-hitter thrown in the NL this season.
