Harry Bright had a night at the plate he won't soon forget as the Washington Senators pounded the
Kansas City A's 12-7. The Senator's 1st baseman blasted 3 homeruns and had 7 RBI to lead the offensive attack against the A's. The 7 RBI were just 1 short of the most this season in the AL.

First baseman Harry Bright blasted 3 homeruns and had 7 RBI at Municipal
Stadium as the Washington Senators beat the Kansas City Athletics 12 to
7.
Bright propelled Washington to victory. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 1st
inning, blasted a two-run home run in the 3rd inning, lifted one out of the
park for a two run home run in the 6th inning and doubled scoring a run in
the 8th inning. The Washington offense poured it on, scoring in 7 of the 9
innings.
The winning pitcher was Claude Osteen(9-3) who allowed 7 runs in 8 innings. Ed
Rakow(8-12) absorbed the loss. He allowed 5 homeruns in 7 innings of work.
'Actually, I didn't feel that comfortable at the plate today' Bright said
after the game. 'Despite that, I'm happy with the results!
