1962 AL Game: KC @ Min.

June 5, 1962

  Minnesota's Camilo Pascual won his 11th game of the 1962 season, going the distance in the Twins 12-4 victory over the Kansas City Athletics. Pascual also hit his 3rd homerun of the year to help his own cause. The 1st place Twins increased their lead to 5 games over the 2nd place Detroit Tigers with the Win. Pascual is now an AL best 11-1 with a 2.49 ERA.

Bob Allison had 3 base hits and 4 RBI and Camilo Pascual went the distance at
Metropolitan Stadium as the Minnesota Twins beat the Kansas City Athletics by
the count of 12 to 4.
 
Allison had a big evening at the plate.  He delivered a base-hit resulting in
a run in the 1st inning, lined a single in the 4th inning and tripled
clearing all three ducks off the pond in the 5th inning.  Kansas City had 14
hits in the game while Minnesota had 9, but Minnesota had the more timely
hits.  
 
The winning pitcher was Pascual(11-1) who allowed 4 runs for the game. John
Wyatt(3-4) was tagged with the loss.  He was unable to control the Minnesota
offense and allowed 5 hits and 3 walks in 2 innings.
